Network Marketing Leads – Why You Should Generate Your Own Leads

Those of you that are experienced in network marketing will likely know the essentials of generating your own leads. If you are relatively new to this marketing concept then you may not fully understand the significance of collecting and owning your own network marketing lead list.

It’s a pretty simply concept in that the leads you have will always be yours regardless of what you do. if you buy networking leads, in most cases you are merely getting access to someone else’s leads, that have already been picked over.

You will find that bought leads are not that responsive and can end up costing you far more than you can ever make in return. It is essential that you gather your own list and keep them exclusively to yourself.

Successful online marketers always have one thing in common…they have a huge list of people in which they can market to. They built this list with hard work and and take it with them in any business pursuit they are involved with. Bought leads just simply does not give you this important advantage.

So why collect your own leads? Simply because you will have them in the future and you own them. Owning your own networking lead list is essential to allow you to stay connected to your business prospects.

Is Network Marketing Right For You?

If you are considering a way to earn some extra money and pay bills, etc. then you may be looking at a network marketing opportunity as a way to accomplish those goals. Oddly enough, network marketing may not be right for you. Few people truly understand the concept and the legalities of this marketing system is usually under constant scrutiny.

Network Marketing is a marketing technique that uses a network of sales associates to find and reach out to potential customers using a direct sales approach. The sales associates usually sell the products via approaching the potential prospects either personally or by locating them through other traditional marketing means.

The key difference between network marketing and traditional marketing is that usually there is a system that allows the distributors to earn income on commissions from their sales as well as from team members they have recruited.

There are numerous compensation plans out in this marketing industry as well as different methods used to recruit team members. The compensation plans can appear lucrative and many sales associates sell to individuals by creating an interest in the possible luxurious lifestyles that the new recruit could conceivably achieve via the compensation plan.

If you are looking at a network marketing opportunity, then by all means please be aware that there is an industry wide failure rate of approximately 97%. That is obviously not good odds, and yet people still jump into this marketing program looking to earn major commissions and bonuses.

So is this system right for you?  The answer of course lies hidden within yourself. You are the one that needs to make the decision. Network Marketing is like a double edged sword…some people loath the idea and others seem to accept the challenge and can do well.

This type of marketing is not something the average person can succeed at. It really boils down to the amount of effort you are willing to put into the business. Note I referred to this as a business! This must be seen and worked as a business by the distributors. A lot of people never look at the system seriously. To succeed, you must treat it just like you were working a normal job. These opportunities are definitely not a get rich quick plan.

I suggest that you research the legalities of this marketing system and then look for an opportunity that meets your needs. There is no cookie-cutter program and one size does not fit all. You’ll need to find a place where you fit in and feel comfortable.

Please read this article on Network Marketing and write down your questions. I’d be happy to work with you to help you make the right decision. I am very selective in my choice of business partners and really prefer that you are fully educated on the way network marketing works before you even try to make a decision.

I’m here to help…that’s my job!

Attraction Marketing And Dog Poop

Whoa…I’m not crazy, at least not yet. You did read the title of this post correctly. Believe it or not, attraction marketing and dog poop are not actually closely related…unless you are selling the stuff of course. Please read on and you’ll see the connection.

I’ve been watching the attraction marketing tactics for a while now and I’m going to get some stuff off my chest. I hate attraction marketing and the whole entire concept. I work with people every day that are so hung up on the attraction marketing concept that they forget what they are actually supposed to be doing…building a business!

People spent a huge amount of time and effort to make themselves look attractive to others as a marketing strategy. Does this work…well yes and no. It has worked in the past for a select few, but is this just a passing fad?

I really hate to hear someone say “Google me” as if that is some way to validate their success. Folks, ranking number one in Google for your name is not going to get you a lot of targeted traffic. And it’s not a major SEO feat either!

Let’s take a look at how dog poop and attraction marketing are related. You see, most people try to build a brand around themselves, unfortunately they concentrate on trying to rank for their name in Google as one of their tactics. They do this under the belief that people are actively searching for them.

Here’s the real scoop…pardon the pun…if you use Google’s keyword tool to check and see how many people are actively searching for your name, then it’s highly likely that you will find there aren’t many searches for your name…in fact you may be surprised to learn that there are more active searches for dog poop than for your name. Check it out for yourself, I’m not trying to say that you are anything like dog poop, just wanted to show the actual search volumes.

But wait a minute, I thought attraction marketing was supposed to create a demand for you…to let people know that you are the guru with all the secrets. But if that was the case, wouldn’t there be a fairly huge stream of searches for you and more specifically your name in the search engines? I think so!

Attraction marketing just does not create a huge demand for you in the searches. So, once you wrap your head around this concept, ask yourself, do I really want to spend a lot of time and money to rank for something that most likely no one is searching for… I personally would rather rank for dog poop and take a chance at converting the less targeted traffic as opposed to ranking for my name which no one knows to be looking for.

You may shocked to learn that even some of the huge attraction marketing gurus just simply do not have any one searching for them…odd concept, since that is the purpose of this type of marketing. You would think that this would generate a bigger search volume for that person’s name, but it just doesn’t happen.

Just some thoughts…maybe at the level of a mild rant…but in any case, I prefer to attract people by having them find me for the things I do. Once they find me for what I do then, they can get to know me for who I am.

Hope you found this interesting!

WordPress Plugins Can Affect Your Blog’s SEO Performance

insanely-fast-logo

Have you ever been browsing the internet and end up on a blog site that simply takes forever to load? Chances are, you will not wait for the page to load and click away from the site. It’s just human nature, we are impatient and want things in a hurry…the same can be said for your blog visitors. If you have a slow loading blog, then you will lose visitors.

Did you know that a slow performing blog can also affect your SEO efforts as well. Most notable is the effects page load speeds can have with Google. Their goal is to deliver pages that your visitors will find useful. This is hard to do if the page is not loading quick enough that the visitors will hang around and interact with the site. There’s little to be gained by Google in indexing these sites and displaying them in the search engine results.

One of the most common problems I encounter with WordPress plugins is plugin overload. This simply means that the blog’s owner has installed far too many plugins…In fact they sometimes bloat the blog to the point that it takes forever to load…and a blog that is in this shape is not going to get traffic.

Determining what plugins you may need is really up to you, but the wise blog owner will make sure and test their blog’s performance…particularly the page’s load time after installing a plugin. Remember that you must keep the use of plugins to a minimum to make sure you are getting a fast load time and ultimately a blog that will not drive your visitors away due to poor performance.

How can the average blog owner test these parameters. I want to point you to a resource that can help you. My friend, Clifton Hatfield provides an awesome video on using a totally free tool to check your blog’s performance. I highly recommend that you watch Clifton’s video on testing your blog’s page speed and use the tool he mentions to test your site both before and after you install a plugin.

Blogging Tips — Finding Great Titles For Your Blog Posts

Blog Titles Image
Writing blog posts can be a very rewarding practice. But what happens when you end up with no idea as to what you are going to write about? It can be frustrating to find a great blog topic to share with the world, and it is also very difficult for some people the select a great blog title for their post.

I’m going to let you in on my secret…yes, I’m going to share with you exactly how I can almost always find a perfect blog title for my posts. The best thing about this little tip is that it is free and you may already be set up to do the same thing I do. I’m assuming that you are blogging with the intentions of generating free traffic to your blog via the search engines. Ideally to do this you need to have your blog submitted to Google’s Webmaster Tools and be capable of getting the reports provided for your blog.

Google’s Webmaster Tools reports lot of useful info for your websites. One of these nice reports shows the keywords that your site is making impressions for in the search results. I talking about situations where your site was returned in the search results, and the report may list that a specific keyword or keyword phrase appeared in a certain position for that query.

You may already be catching on to my secret, but if not then let’s explore this a little deeper. You will have access to keywords and in particular, keyword phrases that are appearing somewhere in the search results. For example, let’s pretend that the report shows that my blog has made impressions in the #100 position for the phrase – “Finding great blog titles”.If you examine that keyword phrase, then you will notice that it actually would make a great blog title. Even better, I know that keyword phrase is already ranking in Google and people must be searching for it in come capacity.

The next step would be to see how many active searches there are for that keyword phrase. I want to use the phrases that have people actually searching for them, so I would recommend that you go to Google’s Keyword Tool and look to see how many searches there are for that exact phrase. Now at this point, it is really up to you as to how much effort you may want to put in to capture a relatively small amount of searches if there is a small search volume associated with the phrase you select.

Remember this, any content you create that has keywords will help you rank for other variations of that keyword if you use the proper back-linking tactics. (More on that later)Google itself will provide you with awesome blog title ideas if you know where to look. Get your blog listed in Google’s webmaster tools and then look through the search query reports to find the keyword phrases that naturally make up a grammatically correct title. If you can’t find a decent looking phrase, then feel free to mix and match the variations there to get your title.

With this system, you will be writing blog posts that will be helping your sites SEO because you are adding content that is relevant to the keywords that you are already ranking for somewhere in Google’s search results.

Hope you find this post useful to you and please let me know if you need any help with understanding this concept.
Go out and apply this to your blogs and get that traffic!  Thanks, Kerry

Branding Yourself – Are You Making This Mistake?

If you are starting a home business or seeking more exposure for yourself on the web then you are very likely to hear the phrase “branding yourself“. This is an important step in setting yourself up for success, but do realize that you can actually make some serious mistakes that will make reaching your goals harder.

I’m on the internet every day looking at the websites of people that are in the process of working towards branding themselves. Everyday, I see a very common mistake that these people are making.

What is this mistake you ask? These people have ran out and bought a domain name that is usually a version of their name. Now this in itself is absolutely fine…in fact you are reading right now from a blog that is hosted with a domain that is actually my name.

So where exactly does the problem come arise? The answer to that lies in the way people attempt to brand themselves by using SEO for these sites. Unfortunately, when I examine the backlinks that these people have built to their sites, I see that they have chosen to use their name as the anchor text for the links.

I’m not merely referring to an occasional use of their name…I see in some cases that these people have not used anything other than their name for the anchor text. These people are doing exactly what they have been told, through a process I call the propagation of misinformation, these people are attempting to rank their website/blog for their name.

Why is this a problem? Simply because these people are spending a great deal of time and effort trying to get traffic to their sites for keywords that may not have any traffic associated with them.

The misconception here is that ranking #1 in Google for your name is absolutely essential for your personal success. In fact, I have seen people that are convinced that they are super skilled in SEO after accomplishing this feat.

Sadly, most people will ultimately fail because they will not be able to get traffic to their website. It is essential that you understand that your name may not, and most likely will not, have anyone searching for it unless you happen to share a common name with a celebrity or other famous person.

Here’s my advice. You can not brand yourself by merely ranking in the search engines for your name! In the vast majority of cases, there is simply no one searching for you. Even more important, how can anyone know to enter your name in a search engine to find for example a personal success coach.

You must grasp this concept–if you are just starting out in your business, people will not know you and thus they will not know to be searching for you.

The whole idea of branding yourself is to get people to make the mental connection between your name (who you are) with (what you do)! You must learn to optimize your site for the things that you do…you want people to find you for your services, etc.

Remember that people will actively be searching for these types of keywords…because that’s the only way they know to find someone that offers the products/services they are looking for.

In summary, optimize your site for the things you do (using relevant keywords in the anchor text to backlinks) and get found for what you do!

If you continue to use this concept, people will find you. With time, they will make the connection between what you do and who you are, and will start looking for you as an individual — This is truly branding yourself.
